Sweetheart International Pageantry System has post-pone all 2021 scheduled pageants until 2022.
The announcement came via a Social Media post posted on the official Sweetheart International Pageantry System Facebook and Instagram page Thursday, May 7, 2020.
“The Sweetheart International Pageantry System has serviced the community for over 30 plus years to provide entertainment, education, and awareness to the LGBTQ+ community. After much consideration it has been determined that our best recourse would be to post-pone all 2021 scheduled pageants until 2022.” Said Candi Wilson Owner of Sweetheart International Pageantry System.
The pageants that will be post-pone include Newcomer, Plus, At Large, Mr. and Miss Sweetheart. The reigning court which consist of A’kashe Hilton Black, British Jay Foxx, Archiee Bonet and Infiniti Bonet will remain at the National representatives for the system until 2022.
Sweetheart was created in 1988 to provide an alternative to adult entertainment. In 2003 the name was changed to Sweetheart International. The pageant is held yearly in Atlanta, Georgia.
